On September 16, United Way Central WV celebrates 21 years of the region’s largest volunteer event in Central West Virginia. It is  truly more than a day. What began as a single day of service has grown into a powerful tradition of connection, bringing people together with purpose and matching volunteers to the needs of local nonprofits. Year after year, it strengthens our community, builds lasting partnerships, and reminds us that when we show up to serve, we are making our tomorrows brighter.

PROJECT REGISTRATION

Project registrations will open on June 8, 2026 and will be accepted until August 14, 2026 at midnight.

Any non-profit or human services organization whose work positively impacts or benefits the community at large is eligible to submit a project for consideration. Just a friendly reminder that projects requiring special skills depend on the availability of volunteers.

PROJECT REGISTRATION WILL OPEN JUNE 08, 2026

PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Minor Maintenance
  • Cleaning and Organizing
  • Lawn update; weeding, mulching, branch collection
  • Painting
  • Sorting clothing and donations
  • Trail building and management
  • Vehicle washing and cleaning (agency)
  • Indoor activities
  • Outdoor activities

PROJECT AND VOLUNTEER PACKET

Projects and Teams will have match meetings and trainings on 09/04/2025 at 10-11:30 AM and 2:00-3:30 PM. A third meeting option will be held on 09/05/2025 at 10:00-11:30 AM.

IMPORTANT DATES

June 10th - Registration Opens
August 12th - Registration Closes
August 12th - Last day to order t-shirts
September 4th and 5th- Match Meetings (as assigned)
