Day of Caring is a United Way annual volunteer event that brings the community together to create a positive impact on the nonprofits that help those in need. This year's Day of Caring is on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our agency partners, staff and volunteers is our first priority. United Way will accept both onsite and virtual volunteer project applications. Onsite projects will need to demonstrate how they will engage volunteers and allow them to adhere to all social distancing and safety guidelines in place.
- Onsite projects such as painting, landscaping, gardening, organizing/cleaning, maintenance projects in large spaces
- Virtual projects like read aloud, writing cards to isolated seniors, needed supply drives, making activity kits for youth
- Located throughout Boone, Clay, Kanawha, Logan and Putnam counties
- Volunteer Service 9a – 3:30p
Project registration: Now through July 24, 2020
