How Do We Measure Progress?

We don't measure results by how much money we raise or distribute. We look at our overall impact in the specific areas that we've targeted and the lives and communities we have improved. In 2006:
  • Legal Aid of West Virginia provided legal assistance to 113 victims of domestic violence ?
  • shoes, boots, and socks were given to 615 eligible students through the Kanawha County Schools Shoe Fund?
  • Family Service provided family and sexual assault counseling to 946 individuals?
  • HospiceCare provided charity care to 1,680 individuals ?
  • the Putnam County Dental Clinic served 199 individuals?
  • the Mental Health Association referred nearly 5,500 individuals to community services?
  • West Virginia Health Right served 17,501 patients?
  • more than 87,000 people benefitted from United Way-funded programs?
