A private, non-profit corporation, the official auxiliary of the US Air Force. Currently 700 members in West Virginia in three different phases: EMERGENCY SERVICES: CAP members are trained to search for downed aircraft, missing persons, provide disaster relief and a number of other functions. There are currently seven aircraft in West Virginia. CAP air crews are trained to work with ground teams in order to professionally and successfully complete its mission. CAP continuously trains its members so that they are always ready and available to respond to the needs of the community.
