An all-volunteer organization that provides trained dog/handler teams to assist any public safety agency in the location of lost persons in wilderness, urban or water setting. SAR offers tracking and air scent dogs capable of locating a person many days after they are missing. Water dogs will alert on a drowned victim for recovery. Evidence and disaster dogs are available.
Teams are available by pager 24 hours a day and will remain on scene as long as needed. Handlers are also trained in first aid, CPR, Map and Compass, Incident Command System and have a radio (2m) FCC license.
Team members give "Lost but Found, Safe and Sound" program for school age children.
Boy Scout Venturing Program for 14-20 year old students.
