Program/Service Notes:
Recruits and trains volunteers to serve in several roles, primarily "home-care", which requires completion of a 30-hour training class. Bereavement volunteers work with families. Office volunteers perform many tasks, including handling all bulk mailings. Transportation volunteers make deliveries for either the patient or Hospice office. Special event volunteers coordinated, plan, or participate in scheduled special events. Friends of Hospice volunteers offer support through education and fundraising. Speakers Bureau provides info to community groups. Receptionist volunteers greet family members, visitors, and residents personally; answer phone calls, and conducts facility tours as requested. Patient/Family volunteers provide support to patients and theirfamilies.
