Day of Caring

Day of Caring

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Registration is now closed. We will see you on September 12!

United Way of Central WV’s annual Day of Caring is a community-wide event benefiting nonprofit agencies in Kanawha and Putnam Counties. Each year, Day of Caring brings together volunteers committed to creating positive change in the lives of children, families, and seniors.

Volunteer teams, organized primarily by local companies, complete projects for local nonprofit agencies, schools and the community that often lack the necessary resources to tackle such important initiatives themselves.

Day of Caring will begin with a kick-off rally and brunch at the Charleston Civic Center followed by an afternoon of service at an area non-profit organization. Last year, 450 sets of helping hands volunteered 1,800 hours benefiting 40 central West Virginia nonprofits. Join your friends and neighbors this September and be a part of something big—Day of Caring 2012.
